Time marches on: March 2008, Spring Break Partying and other international Social Stimuli

Monday morning, the Siamerican woke up in his Polish friends condominium, as his Finnish friend snored away on the sofa nearbye. Having passed out before everyone the previous night, the Siamerican, mostly replenished, headed back to his own pad nearby–but not before living up to one final invitation–stopping at a fellow American friend’s apartment to watch a few documentaries regarding aliens and an Iraq war firefight, followed by episodes four and five of Lost, Season Four.

Monday night was finally time to get back to the apartment to relax, recharge, and replenish, just as a minor cold started to overcome the Siamerican Wanderer. Plan is to pay the bills, pack a bag, and late afternoon, head for the Southern bus terminal on the West side of town…

With exams finishing off on Saturday, to open up the third month of the year, the Siamerican finds himself with a slight cold as he prepares to pack up and head on a south-bound bus later in the day. By plan, tomorrow morning should see the Siamerican arriving in Phuket town bus station, after an overnight trip through the Isthmus of Kra.

After the the last two difficult midterm exams (Statistics for Social Sciences and Marketing Communication) on Saturday, the Siamerican was ready for some drinks, smoke, and social stimuli to kick off the spring break. The Siamerican shared a few beers with a 29 year old Swedish classmate, Pontus at a bar across the Bangkok University soi.

The two agreed to meet up later in the evening for a house party on the north side of Bkk. The Siamerican continued home for a nap knowing he would meet several more friends before the night was over.

It wouldn’t be before Sunday night, after a lagging day of social chat, naps, and a finale of a Thai style grilled BBQ Buffet that the Siamerican was heading back to the east side, when another Finish and Polish uni friends called and demanded that the Siamerican come over for a few beers, knowing that the Siamerican would be leaving Bangkok soon.
