Nineties R&B Nostalgia: Brandy’s Broken Hearted Streaming Song

Continued from the previous R&B Nostalgia post, here is the next nineties Rhythm and Blues classic that the Siamerican invites you to travel some 13 years back and indulge. In this post, it’s the original version of Broken Hearted by the talented and pretty vocalist, Brandy.

Anyhow, she ended up doing a remix of this song with Wanya from Boyz II Men. That version was actually promoted, more known, and had its own music video, though the original version streamed below is better by many’s opinion.. This one will definitely move ya!

Jao Moragoat says:

here, a live version ! even better

Jao Moragoat says:

Looks like it was removed :( suggesting that someone in the industry wasn’t happy about its ‘free’ distribution…

Siamerican says:

Here’s the lyrics…

I’m young but I’m wise enough to know that you don’t fall in love overnight…

That’s why I thought if I took my time, that everything in love would be right…

But as I soon as I close my eyes,
I was saying to love–goodbye…

But I guess I’m only brokenhearted,
Life’s not over, I can start again
While I’m only brokenhearted,
It’s a hurting thing to get over,

No more empty conversations,
Next time I will be totally sure oooahh yea,
Don’t want the pain of falling in and out of love
It’s more than my poor heart should endure, mmm

So I listen to all advice
And remember each time I cry,
That I guess I’m…(repeat chorus)
