Goodbye July: Welcome August 2010

August represents the final month of the western summer, the first full month of the Eastern monsoon, and the last month of the year’s second trimester.

The Thai teaching term’s first term of academic year 2553 B.E. (i.e. 2010) is into its third month now, and the beginning of the international academic school year for 2010 is about to get underway come mid-month. What this means for the Siamerican is, alas, his final semester as an undergraduate student. Read more about that here.

Still maintaining and juggling his full time job teaching up to the North of Bangkok Metro, this will be the final semester doing so. At least when/if he pursues post graduate studies (e.g. Masters or Certification) the choices will be open for distance / weekend / evening learning.

A week ago, the Siamerican turned 27, a birthday which fell during a four day weekend here in Thailand due to the Buddhist Lent and Asarnhabucha Buddhist holidays. He flew down to Phuket to spend it with his boy, taking  an overnight bus back to Bangkok Tuesday night, arriving last Wednesday which he spent much of at the University to pick up the registration bill for Uni.

2010 is passing by quick; 7 months down, five quick and crucial months to go!  Hope to get some Ukulele Jam videos on here asap. Stay tuned.
