On this last day of Common Era year 2008, (Buddhist Era 2551, Anno Hegirae 1430, 4707 Chinese Year), the Siamerican wishes the IT literate world that happens upon this message a constructive, insightful and progressive New Year. Let 2009 (2552 B.E. ; 1431 A.H.) bring well intentioned folks prosperous and beneficial days, nights, weeks and months.
No matter which faith, astrologist manipulation-interpretation, and/or calendar one is loyal to, it is undeniable that there will days of woe, suffering and misfortune in the ninth year of the common millennium, but never forget that such only can be possible with the balance of the opposite force propagated via the creative, joyous and constructive experiences and memories that will come, likewise.
In this year of the Ox (approximately the 167th since Christ or 212th Ox cycle since Buddha–don’t quote that just yet) , we are burdened with quite the turbulent society of which humans can recall in recent history. Thus, it is our duties as globally conscious citizens to realize harmonious opportunity from presented threat, acknowledging our weaknesses to plant seeds of continuity and evolution wishfully promoting the common goal of embracing and exploiting the gifts of strength we have begotten.
That said, let all who scroll here embrace the winds of change for common year 2009 with realistic yet optimistic arms and hearts wide open!
